Finding shares and ETFs that are ethical and align with your values can often take hours and hours of research. With so many layers of information and potential greenwashing, it can be hard to know where to look, especially if you’re a first time investor.
When 88% of investors expect their money to be managed ethically, being able to buy shares in companies and ETFs that match your values shouldn’t be this difficult.
That’s why we’ve created an easy three step guide to help you find shares & ETFs that align with your ethical values, using SIX, Australia’s only share-trading platform built for ethical investors.
First login or sign-up to the SIX platform, then click on the Find Stocks tab, and head over to the ✅ Include and ❌ Avoid filter options. When you click on these options, you will find a range of positive and negative ethical filters. You can use these filters to remove or add companies or ETFs based on your ethics. You can also filter by ETFs and Stocks individually!
Once you’ve found an investment that you are interested in, check out its ethical profile!

Once you have found an individual stock or ETF that you believe matches your values, then click on the Wallet tab. There you can Add Funds to your SIX wallet, which will allow you to make your trade.
Once you’ve funded your wallet, you’re ready to buy shares in the company or ETF of your choice!
